No, I keep the questions very quick and straightforward. As we get further into the year it's a lot of things like fraction/decimal/percent conversions, one-step equations, math facts, vocab, stuff like that. I want it to be simple because I'm taking attendance and dealing with any crises that walk in the door so I can't support students. On a smooth day it's 3 minutes for students to complete, go over it quickly, then move on to tasks that give me more information and can be used for formative assessment/discussion/etc.
